I haven't entered a remix contest in years. Once I heard "Sunrise" by Shannon Hurley, I knew I had to give it a shot. The contest was held by Acidplanet.com and the vocals were supplied along with some accompaniment.
I used mostly my own synths and sequenced them in Fruity Loops. The overall master was mixed in Acid Pro. I had loads of fun with this mix. Shannon offered some ideas on the mix and after a few revisions, she was really happy with it. Here is the original song: http://www.myspace.com/shannonhurley, and here is my remix.
